2012 Lamborghini Supercar Jota Murcielago

Lamborghini Supercar Jota Murcielago2012 Lamborghini Supercar Jota Murcielago 1

The first clear pictures of the all-new 2012 Lamborghini Murciélago supercar surfed over the site today, which were apparently known as the "Jota" and replace the current Murciélago. The car going on sale early next year and it cost more than £ 300,000.
We all know, the Lamborghini Murciélago, is racing around the year 2002, and its time for him to rest, and let his successor take against the road. Lamborghini's engineers to be ready with a simple substitution of a super-awesome car. Taking steps to their first cold weather training VW / Audi test track somewhere in Scandinavia, following the test-driving super car caught by spy photographers.

It could have been a blisteringly cold Volkswagen / Audi 's secret testing location in Northern Scandinavia, but the prototype of the car was red hot: It's terrific replacement for the Lamborghini Murciélago. Buzzed, called the Jota (name off from the development of the Lamborghini 1970), by the Lamborghini supercar sure to be the largest yet from Sant'Agata Bolognese.

Lamborghini Supercar Jota Murcielago2012 Lamborghini Supercar Jota Murcielago 3

2012 Lamborghini Jota Murciélago is powered by 7.0L V12 engine which is capable of between 700 and 720 of HP and it will take a super-car to an amazing top speed of 362 km / h! New Lambo has a function bespoke carbon composite body and chassis of an aggressive and dynamic, four-wheel drive system will come to an unusually mild.

Sources indicate that this new Lambo will be less than 1500 kg weight, which will probably result in a breathtaking acceleration. Since the power to weight ratio is in the region 470 HP 1000 kg car is likely to accelerate 0-100 km / h in less than 3 seconds.
2012 Lamborghini Jota Murciélago is DSG transmission characteristics, because it would be too difficult and too expensive, but an engineer will come to the seven-speed sequential manual gearbox with the standard seven-speed paddle shift.

It is also expected that the dual-clutch transmission can be used to transfer the right of the four wheels of the new Lambo. Another rumor is leaps and bounds around the new all-wheel drive system supplier Haldex of Sweden. Come through the newfound ease of aluminum / carbon-fiber version of the aluminum space frame Audi R8, which will replace the current Murciélago's steel hull. Other weight savings achieved by the use of lightweight body panels, but instead of the widespread use of carbon fiber, as originally thought, the Lamborghini with aircraft builder Boeing has apparently led to studies on other composites to yield a better cost-benefit ratio than the carbon fiber. Lamborghini's goal going forward is that each new car tips scales around 200 pounds in less than a car, they are replacing.

BF Performance claims that they have tuned the engine of the Gallardo, though they provide no specifications. They do say that, between the mods and the 43 kg reduced weight, their GT600 has better acceleration than the LP640-4 SV. Carbon-ceramic brakes were used to better control speed.

Inside, the company installed five-point belts and sport seats. Carbon was used on the handles, vents, switch casings, and steering wheel to further reduce weight. A rollover cage was also fitted to better protect passengers.

Press Release

  • Entirely new aerodynamics kit made of carbon
  • Wing doors for the special appearance
  • If desired the Gallardo can be equipped with rear-wheel drive
  • Engineer design with carbon in optional colour

In the Swiss city Zug, perfection has a different meaning than in the
Italian town Sant’Agata Bolognese. While Lamborghini is satisfied with the
Gallardo LP560-4, the Swiss have higher demands – at least the engineers at
BF-performance. For them, the Gallardo is too innocent and neither dynamic
nor individual enough. Therefore, they turn both the Coupé and also the
Spyder into the GT600 which has a stronger performance, more self-confidence
and looks more aggressive.

Optimised under-body aerodynamics is guaranteed by the side skirts and
the rear diffuser which are both also made of carbon. The striking carbon
rear wing renders additional down thrust. Its edged design perfects the
design language of the Lamborghini and gives the Gallardo the finishing
touch.

The wing doors render a significant amount of individuality, but are
strictly limited to Lamborghini models with twelve-cylinder engines. Due to
the refinement by BF-performance, also the GT600 with a V10 engine can be
equipped with doors which are so typical for Lamborghini.

And of course the engineers also focused on the engine performance.
BF-performance has confirmed the performance of the new automobile in an
impressive race. On the Sachsenring round course, the GT600 even managed to
beat the stronger Lamborghini Murciélago LP640-4 SV by an impressive lead of
0.6 seconds

For the special individualisation, BF-performance offers a unique
amendment: it can be modified from a four-wheel drive car to a rear-drive
super car. This way, the GT600 combines the exclusive feature of the
Gallardo LP550-2 “Valentino Balboni“ with increased performance. The new
engine concept and 43 kilogramme of saved weight render a unique driving
experience.

The interior also follows this dynamic maxim. Apart from the sports bucket
seats, BF-performance also offers five-point belts, a roll-over cage and a
carbon-ceramic braking system with which the GT600 meets the highest racing
standards. BF-performance visually adjusts the interior to the increased
dynamics. The manufactory uses carbon on the steering wheel, door handles,
ventilation grids and even at the switch casings. The customer can even opt
for carbon in his favourite colour.

BF-performance offers the entire car with all components either as the
sporty Coupé GT600 or also as the Roadster GT600 Spyder.

The entire automobile confirms the perfection and passion for detail applied
by BF-performance. The Lamborghini specialist has already gained experience
with the predecessor model and now brings its art of engineering into
perfection with the GT 600. Also Lamborghini’s design development confirms
the talents of BF-performance, as the Swiss specialist is always one step
ahead of the Italian manufacturer.

Lamborghini Conquisto: Designer Envisions a Two-Door, Rear-Engine Lambo SUV

A two-door, rear-engined Lamborghini SUV / Crossover makes as much sense as a vegetarian working at slaughter house but if anything else, you can't blame independent designer David Cordoso from Belgium for not using his imagination. More photos after the jump.

Geneva Debut: Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SV

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SV artist rendering - 1280

According to the latest rumors hardcore version of LP560-4 will be called exactly LP570-4 SV, less weight, but only 10 hp more, interior will be stripped down similar way as old SL version of Gallardo. Reworked front suspension and CC brakes are expected also. Car will feature new front spoiler with similar style as LP670-4 SV and big wing like Supertrofeo G. That is all, nothing revolutionary expected. Dealers and VIP customers will be able to see this car during presentation event next January, public unveiling at Geneva auto show, first cars coming to the customers starting from next May.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SV artist rendering - 1280

While a 10-horsepower boost may not seem worthy of all the hype on its own, a large drop in weight would justify quite a bit of attention. It is important to note that the Gallardo Superleggera, also introduced in Geneva, featured a similar power increase and weighed 100 kilograms (220.5 lbs) less than the Gallardo.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SV artist rendering - 1280

This resulted in a car that handled totally different compared to the regular Gallardo 5.2 model, and with the purpose build high rear wing it looked as fast as it would go ... sadly when the LP560-4 took over the Superleggera production was halted.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SV artist rendering - 1024

But this isn’t the complete story! This SV-version will not be the last version in the Gallardo LP560-4 series, a fifth and final hardcore rearwheel drive version will come later next year or early 2011 to keep production running until 2012 when the Gallardo successor is expected.

Lamborghini Ankonian Concept

Lamborghini Ankonian Concept by designer Slavche Tanevsky. This Ankonian has more aggressive design, a narrow and rather complex-looking body, with a garnishing of GT proportions.

The mid-engined supercar has a narrow and rather complex-looking body, with a garnishing of GT proportions. Thin OLEDs embedded between the surfaces function as headlights, and while all those lines may look weird, the Ankonian supposedly makes the best use of it all. The concept was named after a bull type famous for black hair, and since the designer had some help from professional designers at Lamborghini and Audi, the finished model has impressive looks.

It doesn't have any hypothetical specs, nor, we suppose, does it really need them. The car is long, low, and narrow, and darkly hostile enough to go as quickly or as slowly as it wishes. What it does have is flames that shoot out of the exhaust, and frankly, that's enough for us.

Edo Competition Lamborghini Gallardo LP600/4

600 – 340 – 3.5 ... No, these are not the dimensions of what Santa's about to bring. These are the three most prominent figures of the new edo LP600/4.

600 stands for its power output, 340 for its top speed and 3.5 seconds is how long it takes to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) from a dead stop.

edo competition has managed to improve performance by increasing power output to 600 horsepower at 7,970 rpm and the torque output to 572 Nm (422 ft-lb) at 6,845 rpm.

Another priority was to upgrade the suspension in order to improve drivability, driving dynamics and precision. edo competition achieved this by employing a newly developed sport suspension system, which is adjustable in compression and rebound damping. This technology allows for custom suspension setups that are ideally matched to a wide range of needs. The low friction shock absorbers and new spring rates were tested extensively on race tracks and high speed ovals, as well as on the road, because handling is not an area for compromise. The result has to be experienced to be believed...

Rounding off the sporty concept are 19 in. three-piece racing wheels with artificially-aged cast center-sections, hand-polished outer rims and 39 stainless steel screws. For the front axle the customer can specify stock tire dimensions or 235/35 ZR 19, while the rear wheels are shod with 305/30 ZR 19 Dunlop Sport Maxx rubber. With this solution edo competition enables its customers to reuse the factory tires on their new wheels.

Another, ever-intriguing topic at edo competition: „The voice".

The new stainless steel high-performance exhaust system with butterfly valves is an attractive proposition. Not only is the sound level adjustable via remote, the exhaust also frees up 15 horsepower and lets the driver enjoy a whole new aural experience. As a welcome side effect, the edo exhaust system weighs 12 kg (26 lb) less than the original piece.

As a result of years of experience with high speed tests, edo competition has reinforced the front end of the edo LP600/4 with a new front spoiler lip, making 340 km/h (211 mph) runs into a relaxing affair.

As promised, lots of extra spice ...

As with all edo competition models, we set no limit to our customers' imaginations. Special interiors or lavish leather upholstery, individual requests are accommodated and executed with quality.

All modifications are carried out exclusively at edo competition Motorsport GmbH in Ahlen.

Student Design: Lamborghini Madura

Lamborghini Madura Student Design Project

Slavche Tanevsky, a student at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, has created this futuristic Lamborghini design concept.

Lamborghini Madura Student Design Project

While it's vaguely reminiscent of the Reventón and the Estoque concept, the whole design of the Madura is sleeker, more focused, and more aggressive. Up front, the Madura features slim headlights (to emphasize the cars' width), huge air intakes, and a curvaceous hood. Out back, the front-mounted hybrid powertrain allowed Tanevsky to create a maze of intricate lines which helps to give the car a unique appearance.

Lamborghini Madura Student Design Project

According to Tanevsky, "The Madura is a proposal for the first hybrid Lamborghini scheduled for 2016. Doing a car more efficient and more nature-friendly, doesn't mean it shouldn't be exciting, good-looking and fast. (But) in my opinion this new propulsion system should be represented on the looks of the car."

Lamborghini Madura Student Design Project

Dubbed the Madura (named after an Indonesian island famous for bull races), the concept was created - in collaboration with Lamborghini and Audi designers - for Lamborghini's Raw Materials Project.

Video: Lamborghini Gallardo Twin Turbo with 1500hp by Underground Racing

Created for a client named Jonah, the twin-turbo Gallardo (dubbed the TTG) produces a stunning 1500 WHP (at 30 psi) on VP C16 racing fuel. If that isn't impressive enough, the TTG is probably producing 1875 HP at the crank - when you consider drivetrain loss of around 25 percent.

Lamborghini Gallardo Twin Turbo with 1500hp by Underground Racing

Backed up by a six-speed transmission, Jonah was able to post a sub-ten second time through the quarter mile at a speed exceeding 160 mph. As Underground Racing is quick to point out, it was the first time Jonah drove the car after the modifications and he hasn't been to a drag strip in over a decade.

Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini Abandoning LA Auto Show

Here's an unsurprising stat for you: 60 percent of all vehicles sold in the U.S. that cost over $100,000 find homes in New York, Florida and California. The majority of which are parked in garages in Manhattan, Miami and Los Angeles, respectively. So the revelation that Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini won't be attending next month's LA Auto Show is -- at the very least -- surprising.
